Lalala... I am so lazy.. Haha.. I guess I won't be updating about the 3rd to last day of Thailand.. If wanna see pictures, go my facebook ba.. Haha.. Oh well.. I will try to update about my taiwan trip.. Flying off tomorrow.. So see you all in 10 days time!! =D Will miss all of my family and friends in Singapore!!

I AM BACK FROM THAILAND!!
Haha.. Oh god.. I am too lazy to blog abt what I did in Thailand.. Lolz.. Hmmm.. I shall summarise and provide some photographic evidence..
DAY 1 [28 Nov 09]Flew to Bangkok, Thailand on SQ.. Haha.. Very comfortable.. Was in the last row of the plane.. Got seperated with my aunt cause she wanted big seats for her legs.. Oh well.. It was a short ride there... Reached in the evening... Went to eat my first meal in Thailand.. It was porridge.. Very tasty.. =D 
After which, I went to shop shop @ Kao San Road.. Haha.. Alot of bagpackers there..
Then went to the nice tall condo that I was living in... =D And it was sleeping time.. XD
DAY 2 [29 Nov 09]
Woke up earlier than expected.... Our alarm clock was set in Sg time.. Got 1 hour difference..=(
So me and my aunt decided to shop around the area since we have like plenty of time.. XD Thus, we went to the market nearby and see how is it like on a weekend morning... Found plenty of tasty stuffs...
Then my aunt's friend brought us to eat kuay tiao soup, thai version... XD
Then we went to floating market.. =D There was an on-land market too.. Haha.. My aunt shopped there and we bought seaweed at low prices!! Haha.. The taste is similar to the expensive ones in SG.. XD
Then sat on boat for an 1 hour trip around the river.. Fed fishes too.. =D
Went for lunch and met little boys selling biscuits and toys.. Bought alittle from them..
Went to temple built by a general.. And it was a long story on how it came abt.. XD..
Prayed and then left for a woodshop.. The stuffs there are very beautiful.. Can see the work they put inside.. Very nice.. =D
Soon.. We went for DINNER!! We ate seafood.. Haha.. All very nice and cheap food.. Ordered like 7dishes and it was only $40++..
Went for Thai Massage after that.. Lolz.. I had to be fully naked with a towel wrapping around me.. Haha.. It was such an unique and WTH experience... Did not really feel that comfortable..But since it was my first time.. I decided to take a picture with the one that touched me from 'top to toe'.. XD
Oh god.. I only finished 2 days and it is like 3am now.. Zzz.. Will update more in future.. Haha.. Went to celebrate my goddad's birthday like in the middle of the night... Or else it would be faster.. I think this post took me 3-4hours.. Zzz.. ENJOY!! I shall end it with a picture that my aunt and I took on a tuk tuk that we sat to the place.. =D NIGHTS!!

Grad night just passed within seconds.. XD.. I swear.. The preparation was long and tiring.. Went shopping for 2 straight days and spent quite an amount.. But it was an enjoyable night.. Played soooo much games throughout the night... Loved the game where all of us like ran about the room.. XD.. Like chicken with it's head cut off.. =XAlso, everybody looked stunning.. =D No matter if we really look good or bad, it is the effort that counts... And confidence is a great part of presenting yourself.. As long as you feel that you look alright, you will look alright.. =) Haha... I need to wait for princess Cherie to upload the pictures on her com before I can put pictures up.. I promise I will do it ASAP.. =DAnyway, after the whole dinner.. Many people went to dance at the dance floor.. XD.. I am not one of them.. Just stayed there and see them dance.. XD.. Zars was like grabbing all the attention lo.. =X After that, went to find 4/5 ppl at the pool place.. Haha.. Rested and played there.. But didn't touch the cue stick.. XD.. Then 9 of us [Wei Kang, Vanessa, Wen Xiu, Jun Wei, Jia Qi, Shu E, Arthur, Norman and I] went to wei kang's hse for rounds of fun.. =D.. I was the biggest loser, but I did had a great time there...It was an amazing night!! =DOk ok.. I gotta eat my dinner.. Will blog again when I come back from Thailand.. Bye people.. Don't miss me too much.. XD

I LOST MY CAMERA!! =(
Anyway, that is not the main point of this post... I just read the headlines on The Sunday Times: Okay to use English to teach Chinese..
Although I never read the whole article (I have not touched newspaper for 2weeks.. =X), based on the title, I feel that this policy is just not right... And I do want to express myself on my blog...
I believe that this policy does not fix the problem that children of English-speaking families do not do well in Chinese. It does not remove the root of the problem.. But probably 'watered' the burning issue to make it less obvious to the society.. Or even made it more obvious to those who do care...
Chinese(mother tongue) provides a medium for us students to learn important values such us honesty, integrity, etc. It also teaches us the beauty of our history where our forefathers fought hard to bring this society to where it is now.
While English helps Singaporeans to have a better standing in this globalised society where most businesses require us to communicate in the English language. Not saying that english does not provide us with moral values, but no matter what it relates to us lesser as it did not originate from where our forefathers lived in.
Since both languages has it's own uses, they should be treated equally as it is important that a country prosper both economically and socially... Therefore, by using english to teach chinese, we are not showing the younger generation the importance of our mother tongue, but instead just changing the way we teach the language so that they will 'like' it..
Such a policy may only work if students start to develop interest in the language and see it as what it is. However, this may require a long time before we can see the results and it may not even work.
In a nutshell, I believe that our policy-maker should further discuss this problem and try to find a better solution as I truly believe that the current one would not be much of a help.
TA DA... I spent the whole afternoon(with many little breaks) typing this.. Haha.. I doubt I made it a very convincing post... Oh well.. I am just expressing my feelings.. Haha..

My hair looks horrendous... It is improportionate, ugly, stupid and any other adjectives you can use to describe a bad hair.. How am I going to go for Awards Night... And for Grad night... Zzz.. Feel like sleeping till my hair grows longer.. Zzz.. I shall sleep now.. Sleeping probably will make our hair grow faster.. =X

My schedule worked!! Haha.. Probably except the 'not sleeping' part.. XD...Ate Sakae Buffet.. Went for choir concert.. Rushed back to school for Night Trail.. Scared the hell out of a few juniors.. Watched movie... Slept for a while.. Chatted with Jane, Diwakar and Xing Jie... Ate School breakfast... Played Cluedo... Walked around the school.. Went back home.. Slept for 30mins.. Left for TAS YV rehearsal... Went back home.. Slept like a pig from 9pm to 9am.. XD..Yeah.. That's about it.. Haha.. XD... It was crazy and memorable I guess.. Probably the last time spending time with every single one of them.. You'll never know... Oh well.. I shall go back to sleep.. BYE!! =D

'O' Levels are DONE!!I am so elated!! Haha... Hope all my results will go well..Oh well.. It will be a great day today.. Haha.. Now resting to prepare for the fun and games later!! SO here is my schedule:now - 2pm: Rest @ Home..2pm - 6pm: Meet up the choir ppl and go for dinner buffet @ Sakae6pm - 9.30pm: Choir concert @ The Arts House9.30pm - 10pm: Go back to school for council camp!!10pm - 6am: In school and play around.. Not sleeping!! =D6am onwards I have no plans.. =(.. Maybe eat breakfast, etc.. Then 3pm go TAS YV rehearsal.. =D Missed them sooo much... Oh well.. Gotta rest.. Only slept for 2hours yesterday.. Zzz.. *Nights*
